Qualifications:
- Valid degree from an accredited college or university
- Current Washington State Teaching Certificate with Music Endorsement
- Have or can obtain clearance from Washington State Patrol and FBI background check
- Experience in teaching multiple instruments
- Experience in organizing and directing musical performances
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three to five years teaching experience in appropriate area
- Proficiency in using technology for music instruction
Knowledge and Abilities:

Demonstrate organizational skills and computer skills necessary for supporting instruction.

Essential Job Functions:
- Teach students to play musical instruments.
- Instruct students in music theory and history.
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and communicate objectives to students.
- Maintain accurate, complete and correct records
- Maintain a positive attitude, good work ethic, and demonstrate promptness in work arrival and in accomplishing all tasks.
- Perform other necessary and reasonable duties as assigned.
